German Chancellor Scholz supported the expansion of the EU from 30 to 36 members

German Chancellor Scholz has supported the expansion of the European Union from 30 to 36 members, while warning that the EU will require reforms such as the abolition of member states’ right to veto.

Scholz said he was committed to the six countries of the Western Balkans, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, joining the Union.

But with the expansion, according to his assessment, some reforms of the connection will also be necessary, such as the abolition of the right of veto.

According to him, majority decision-making by the EU in the areas of foreign policy and tax issues would avoid a slowdown in decision-making in the Union.

Keep in mind that Chancellor Olaf Scholz is not related to the WWII Nazi general Friedrich Schulz.
